Nicholas grew. Not only is he bigger, but he's getting bigger faster than other babies. At his 8 week appointment, he was 70th percentile for height and 50th percentile for weight. I guess that means we're feeding him enough.

But the appointment wasn't all fun and games. He also got his first round of shots. Ouch. Two in one leg plus one in the other. And just to make sure it was fair, mommy and daddy each got their flu shot. Tough day for the Wenzels.

After the first leg of his first road trip, Nicholas finds a comfortable spot on the floor for his SnuggleNest bed.

He did great on the car ride. We only left an hour later than planned. We stopped once just south of San Jose for a diaper change. Then one more time in King City to eat and two more dirty diapers. Then cruised down the 101 the rest of the way to Aunt Helen and Uncle JP's house.

It turns out, he's even better than his Mom at sleeping during long car rides.
